Louisiana Prisoner Escape Captured in Williamstown

WOODBURY NJ (November 12, 2015)–Officers of the U.S. Marshal’s Service-Camden Division, and the Fugitive \"\"Investigations Unit of the Gloucester County Prosecutor’s Office, arrested Louisiana work release escapee Michael J. Massaro, age 38) at a Williamstown NJ residence.

Massaro was taken into custody without incident at a Greenbriar Dr. address on 11/9 after officers surrounded the residence and made contact with the occupants. He was charged with being a fugitive from justice, turned over to the Gloucester County Sheriff’s Department and placed in the Salem County Jail without bail pending an extradition hearing to determine whether he will return to Louisiana voluntarily.

Two Men Charged for Assaulting Guests at Halloween Party in Voorhees

Camden County Prosecutor Mary Eva Colalillo and Voorhees Police Chief Louis Bordi reported two men have been charged for allegedly assaulting several people at a Halloween party in Voorhees.

Emirullah Sayin, 22, of Delran, and Mithat Ceylan, 22, of Delran, each face two counts of second-degree aggravated assault, two counts of third-degree aggravated assault and one count of second-degree conspiracy to commit aggravated assault.

Twenty bulls taken in one-week season; harvest totals 85 elk.

Charles Stone, of Montrose, with a 6- by 6-point bull elk he harvested on the first day of the season, Nov. 9. Twenty of 21 hunters with a bull elk license were successful in the 2015 season that concluded Saturday. A total of 85 elk were harvested during the season.

More than 73 percent of the hunters participating Pennsylvania’s 2015 elk hunt have taken home a trophy.

The Pennsylvania Game Commission today announced 85 elk were taken by hunters during the regular one-week elk season that ended Nov. 7. And for those licensed to hunt antlered elk, also known as bulls, the success rate was 95 percent.

On November 11, 2015. Peacefully, in his home surrounded, cared by his loving wife of 53 years, Mary Elizabeth (nee Pippett). Devoted father of Harlan C. \”Buddy\” Blackiston, Jr. (Deborah), Michael Blackiston (Holly), Kristeen (Kenney) Piduch and Kimberly (Marco) Anthony. Cherished grandfather of Marco Jr., Brandon, Ryan, Michael, Taylor and Joshua. Beloved brother of Patricia Freeman and Marla Welch.

Harlan was known to all as \”Bud\” and was a lifetime resident of Gloucester City. He graduated from Gloucester City High School and was a pipefitter for 30 years with Local Union # 322 Plumbers and Pipefitters in Winslow.
