On February 28, 2020, of Glendora; formerly of Mt. Ephraim. Age 78.

Devoted father of Joann Natale. Dear brother of Rita Iacovelli (Jerry) and Bill Natale (Joan). Loving companion of Marion Bennett. He was a loving grandfather. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Joseph proudly served with the US Air Force and worked for the US Postal Service in Mt. Ephraim for 30 years. Joe enjoyed spending his summers with his family in Wildwood.

There will be a viewing from 7pm to 9pm Tuesday evening and from 8:15am to 9:15am Wednesday morning at GARDNER FUNERAL HOME, RUNNEMEDE.

Funeral Mass 10am Wednesday at Holy Child Parish, St. Teresa RC Church, Runnemede.

Interment New St. Mary’s Cemetery, Bellmawr.

Alfred proudly served with the US Air Force.

Columbus Buffetta, of Brooklawn; WWII Army Vet, Campbell Soup Employee, age 92

Columbus Buffetta had an immeasurable work ethic. He dedicated his life to his family and his Lord. He was witty and self made who took pride and pleasure in the simple beauties of life. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time at his home in Brooklawn with his family. On Friday February 21, 2020, after 92 years he was called away, but only to return home to the Lord.

“Buff” was born in Camden and had spent his formative years there. His home had contributed to the manpower of our great nation, upholding the ideals of our American freedoms during WWII in the U.S. Army. Early on he and his family owned and operated a variety store in Camden before settling his family down in Brooklawn. Columbus made a career as a machinist, at Campbell’s Soup in Camden and enjoyed spending time outdoors with his family camping and bicycling. Columbus will fondly be remembered as a kind hearted good samaritan who was always helpful with an outstretched hand.

Mr. Buffetta is the widower of his late wife Dolores (nee Williams) and is the father of Louis and his wife Joan, Richard, Dino & his wife Frances, Anna Maria & hier husband Russell Hall and Matthew Buffetta. He is the proud grandfather of 16 and great grandfather of 25. Mr. Buffetta is also survived and will be sadly missed by his sisters Gloria Parisi and Anna Sharp. “Buff” was predeceased by his siblings; Theodore, Leonard, Enrico, Mary & Louise.

Relatives, friends and neighbors are invited to join the Buffetta family on Friday morning between 9:00 and 11:00 am at Creran Celebration Etherington & Creran Funeral Homes 700 Powell St. Gloucester City where a remembrance ceremony will begin at 11:00 am. George \”Mickey\” D. Graham, Jr. of Gloucester City; Retired Mailman, Korean War Army Vet., Rams Alum

Surrounded by his loving family, at home, on February 21, 2020. Age 88. Lifelong resident of Gloucester City. Loving husband of 54 years to Theresa A. Graham (nee McQuaid). Loving father of Theresa Graham Hughes and her husband, Robert, Patricia Graham

Predeceased by his sisters, Sarah Graham Leidvanger and Helen Graham Laskey. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Mickey was a graduate of Gloucester Catholic class of 1949, where he was the editor and chief of the yearbook committee. He continued his studies at Drexel University before proudly serving our country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Mickey was a letter carrier for the United States Postal Service for 38 years in Bellmawr and Gloucester City. He was a member of the Gloucester City Senior Citizens Association. Mickey will be remembered for his vast knowledge and love of sports but most all the love he gave to his wife, children and grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited to his visitation on Thursday morning, February 27, 2020 from 9:45 AM to 11:45 AM at St. Mary’s R.C. Church, 426 Monmouth St., Gloucester City. Mass of Christian Burial 12 Noon in the church. Interment with U.S. Army honors will follow in New St. Mary’s Cemetery, Bellmawr.

Kathleen was a loving and dedicated Wife, Mother, and friend. She treasured her family and friends, and embraced every moment spent with them. In addition to being a kind and selfless woman, she had a vivacious personality, a contagious smile, and beauty that radiated from within. She was known for her ease in frequent conversation, and her willingness to help those in need. She enjoyed taking trips to the shore, as well as walks through the woods to enjoy the simplicity of nature.

Kathleen was also a music enthusiast which went hand-in-hand with her love for dancing and the Arts. She was an active member of The Compassionate Friends Network, and proprietor of the Tim’s Light Foundation. Throughout her life she maintained a sweet and simple demeanor that won the trust and hearts of many, who even now are being changed by her witness of constant nurturing, love, and faith. She will always be remembered for the joy she brought to all of those that knew and loved her.

Edie May Downie of Runnemede, age 89

Edith “Edie” May Downie (nee Hlubb), on February 19, 2020, passed away at home with her daughters by her side.  She was a longtime resident of Runnemede. Age 89.

Beloved wife for 57 years of the late Jim. Devoted mother of Donna Frost (Gene) and Denise Monahan (Robbie). Loving Grandmom of Holly Plank (Steve) and Kevin Roback (Tiffany). Proud Great Grandmother of Jackson, Caleb & Gracyn Plank and Madison & Logan Roback. Predeceased by her siblings, John Hlubb, Joseph Hlubb, and Laura Recca and loving sister-in-law, Joan Hlubb.

Mrs. Downie was employed by the Runnemede Board of Education for 25+ years and also served as bookkeeper for her husband’s business, DECO Tool & Die.  She was President of the Runnemede Fire Company Ladies’ Auxiliary, a member of the Runnemede Women’s Club and the Collingswood High School Class of 1948 Reunion Committee. She delighted in baking and decorating cakes for friends and family.
