Wanted: Suspects for Robbery in the 3rd District [VIDEO]

On November 9,2025 at approximately 1:25 AM, the victim was making a pizza delivery in the 1200 block of Wharton Street. While looking for the address, suspect #1 approached and stated that the pizza was hers. As suspect #1 took the pizza, suspect #2 pulled out a gun, pointed it at the victim and said, “Give up the food!” Both suspects then ran East on Wharton Street with the pizza.

Vincent N. Matarazzo, 82, born in Philadelphia

Vincent N. Matarazzo passed away peacefully on November 9, 2025. He was the cherished and devoted husband of Nancy Acello and the loving father of Anthony (Tatiana). Vince was born in Philadelphia to the late Nicholas and Ann Matarazzo. Vince is also survived by his brother, Lucky (Elizabeth); his sister, Carmella Snyder (Richard); his mother-in-law, Concetta Acello; and his brothers- and sisters-in-law: Janice Acello, Donna DiGennaro (Mike), Karen Acello (Bruce), Lisa Acello (Tony), William Acello (Jacqueline), Tina Conte (Mark), and Marty Castro. He will be deeply missed by his many loving nieces and nephews, as well as by his sons, Vincent and Christopher, and their families.

Philadelphia Police Report the Following Incidents

The following information is preliminary and subject to change as investigations continue. Updates will be provided as they become available.

At approximately 9:00 a.m., officers in the 14th District responded to reports of a shooting in the 7100 block of Stenton Avenue. Upon arrival, police located a 25-year-old malesuffering from gunshot wounds. The victim was transported by Medic 33 to Albert Einstein Medical Center for treatment. The scene remains active, and no arrests or motive have been established at this time. The investigation is being handled by the Shooting Investigation Group.

Earlier in the morning, at approximately 4:09 a.m.35th District officers licared a 32-year-old male gunshot victim and a female sitting inside a red Dodge Charger in the parking lot of the district headquarters at 5932 N. Broad Street

Philadelphia Police Statement “Guns Down, Gloves Up” Investigation

PHILADELPHIA, PA – Philadelphia Police Commissioner Kevin J. Bethel has suspended five active-duty police officers for 30 days with the intent to dismiss following the filing of criminal charges stemming from their alleged improper participation in a City grant-funded youth boxing initiative known as Guns Down, Gloves Up.

The officers are accused of receiving payment from the program while simultaneously being compensated by the City as Philadelphia Police Officers; in some cases, during their scheduled working hours. The charges follow an extensive PPD Internal Affairs and District Attorney’s office investigation into the program’s operations.

In total, five active-duty officers have been dismissed, and four additional individuals, including former Captain Nashid Akil and former Police Officers George Gee, Robyn Gee, and LaCarmela Fortune, retired from the Department prior to the filing of criminal charges.

Missing Endangered Person-Karl Wallace


The Philadelphia Police Department is requesting the public’s assistance in locating a missing endangered person, Karl Wallace. Karl is 66 years old, stands 5 feet 8 inches tall, and has a medium build. He was last seen wearing blue pants, a black jacket, and a black baseball hat. 

On November 5, 2025, Karl was reported missing from the 1300 block of Spring Garden Street. The day before, on November 4, 2025, at approximately 2:00 p.m., he was transported by Uber to Einstein Hospital, located at 5501 Old York Road, and never returned home. Anyone with information regarding his whereabouts is urged to contact Central Detectives at 215-686-3093.

Investigation into Shooting of Police Officer and Suspect in Camden

Camden, NJ – A police officer and a suspect were injured during a shooting incident in Camden last night, reported Camden County Prosecutor Grace C. MacAulay and Camden County Police Chief Gabriel Rodriguez.

On November 4th, 2025, at approximately 10:50 p.m., officers from the Camden County Police Department were attempting to conduct a pedestrian stop with an adult male – later identified as 25-year-old Marques Jones of Camden – near Chesapeake Road and Congress Road.  During that time, Jones pointed a handgun in the direction of an officer and fired multiple gunshots. The officer was struck once by gunfire in his left arm.
