ATTENTION MOUNT EPHRAIM RESIDENTS

\"Letter\" RESIDENTS NEED TO ATTEND & NEED TO ASK QUESTIONS REGARDING THE

BOROUGH OF MOUNT EPHRAIM 2009 PROPOSED MUNICIPAL BUDGET

The Public Hearing will be held on Thursday, May 7, 2009 at 8:00 pm at the Borough Hall during the regular Board of Commissioners Meeting.

This 2009 Municipal Budget includes a 10 cents Tax Increase per $100.00 of assessed value OR an average Tax Increase of $98.00 up to $214.00 depending on your homes assessment. This Tax Increase DOES NOT include the School Tax Increase OR any County Tax Increase. Last years Municipal Budget had a 15 cents Tax Increase or an average of $147.00 up to $320.00. In the past two years that is a total of between $245.00 and $534.00 in Municipal Taxes alone.

This will be the second reading of the municipal budget and will be adopted at this meeting unless the commissioners decide to make any changes.

Residents need to attend and ask the Mayor & Commissioners what they have done in the past year to reduce municipal spending other then just \”shared services\”? We as the TAXPAYERS & THEIR BOSSES need to put the pressure on them to get the point across that we can NOT AFFORD these INCREASES YEAR AFTER YEAR.

Wolk, Greenwold & Gilmore need to understand that they SHOULD BE CUTTING EVERY CORNER THAT THEY CAN TO MAKE THE INCREASE AS MINIMAL AS POSSIBLE FOR THE TAXPAYERS! Think of the families struggling from paycheck to paycheck and the seniors on fixed incomes!!!

PLEASE ATTEND & make your voices heard at the Public Meeting – Thursday, MAY 7, 2009 at the Borough Hall Court Room at 8:00 PM.

LONEGAN CAMPAIGN RELEASES RADIO AD SAYS \”CHRISTIE’S LIES\”

STEVE LONEGAN: For months, Chris Christie has hidden from my campaign.

But now I’m surging in the polls and they’re running some of the most ridiculous negative ads imaginable.

Let me answer their silly charges one by one.

First: Christie says I raised taxes. That’s a lie.

Those were the Democrats’ budgets and I cut them and stopped their tax increases.

Second: Christie attacks my flat tax and supports the current progressive system.

My flat tax will cut rates on single people earning thirty five thousand a year and up and couples earning seventy thousand a year or more. That’s most taxpayers.

Again, Christie’s ad is a lie.

Third: I’ll provide real property tax relief.

Not through phony election year rebates but by reducing regulations, ending COAH, and distributing the state’s income tax equally on a per student basis.

Chris Christie has no plan and no clue.

It’s time for a conservative change.

That’s why I’m running for Governor, and I hope I’ve earned your vote.
