KATHLEEN V. JAGIELSKI, 50 year member of the Brooklawn United Methodist Church

Funeral Services were held at Brooklawn United Methodist Church, Brooklawn, for Kathleen V. Jagielski, (nee Hudson), 68, of Southampton, formerly of Brooklawn, who died December 16, 2008.

Kathleen was a loyal 50 year member of the Brooklawn United Methodist Church, the senior choir and teacher of the nursery school. She was also a member of the Protestant Community Church in Medford Lakes. As a resident of the Leisuretown Community, Kathleen was happily involved in many activities. Foremost was her devotion to teaching line dancing and western dancing. Kathleen touched many lives with her lively, joyous spirit. She will be greatly missed by many.

Beloved wife and best friend for 48 wonderful years to her dear husband Walter. Loving mother of Walter (Kelley), Nancy, Joe (Sherry) and Matt (Krissy). Devoted grandmother of seven.

Interment was in Lakeview Memorial Park, Cinnaminson.

When the lead bullet rolled out of the end of the musket, the huge buck just seemed to smirk at my friend, pause, then run to tell his herd about the idiot who forgot to pack the powder! My friend hadn\’t hunted for twenty years, and recalled that the sarcastic deer \” … posed for a shot only 20 yards in front of me! I pulled the trigger and then, BOOM! Then turned to my partner and said \’Why isn\’t he falling!?

If you\’ve hunted, you have your stories. My uncle once fell out of his deer blind onto the deer while drawing his bow. Another friend had his belt snap while climbing a tree and hung upside down by his boots after being knocked out when he back of his head slammed the tree. Nearly died there while his son snuggled in his deer blind just a hundred yards through the woods.

CARL A. VAN GEMERT, of Gloucester City

Funeral Services were held for Carl A. Van Gemert, of Gloucester City, who died December 13, 2008.

Carl was a lifelong resident of Gloucester City, he attended Sharp School of Collingwood and worked for the Abilities Center of Southern NJ in Westville for 10 years. Carl enjoyed watching TV, especially the Phillies and the Eagles. He also enjoyed listening to country music.

Beloved son of Edna Van Gemert. Dear brother of Joan Donovan of Woodbury Heights, NJ, Elise Foster and her husband, Mark of Gloucester City, Beverly Bauers of Woodbury Heights, and Hendrick (Rick) Van Gemert and his wife, Wendy of Mullica Hill, NJ. Carl is also survived by 14 nieces and nephews.

Friends met at the Etherington-Creran Funeral Home, 700 Powell Street, Gloucester City. Interment was in Locustwood Memorial Park.

On December 29, 2008. Age 80. Of Cooper River West, Pennsauken. Formerly of Gloucester City. Loving and Cherished Daughter $\"cross$ of the late James C. Goldy, Jr. and Hilda A. Goldy (nee Volikler). Loved by the nurses, devoted staff and friends at Cooper River who took tremendous care of Elsie.

Shayla Llanos, Salem High School graduate and basketball star, died Monday

– NJ.com.

Llanos, last year\’s Player of the Year for basketball, graduated from Salem in June. While playing for Broward Community College, located in Florida, Llanos collapsed to her knees at a tournament game held that afternoon. After being revived by medics on scene, she died later that night in the hospital.

The following letter was received from Marcus Wild, a Mount Ephraim resident and an Army soldier that is currently serving in Iraq.

\”My name is Marcus Wild from Mount Ephraim and I would like to thank you guys very much for everything that I have received! I would like to go ahead and say thank you very much for all of the support over here in Iraq! It puts a smile on my face everyday to see the things that people back home do for us.\”

SENDING ITEMS TO OUR TROOPS – Members of the Tro $\"Wrapping%20gifts%20for%20troops\"$ op Support 08059 recently met to pack up new donated items to send over seas to local troops. The items were placed in gift bags and sent to arrive right before Christmas to brighten the spirits of the troops and to remind them that their service is appreciated. (PHOTO PROVIDED)

I arrived after the fire was under control and cleanup work had begun. Incident occurred in the 200 unit block of Middlesex Street, two homes were damaged, cause is under investigation,no injuries reported. Volunteer fire departments from Bellmawr, Mt. Christine Helen Peck, of Gloucester City, member of Spirit of Hope Lutheran Church

PECK, Christine Helen On December 28, 2008, (nee Whalen), of Gloucester City, NJ, age 92. $\"Cross5\"$ She was the beloved wife of the late William G. Peck, loving mother of Christine H. Greenwald and the late Brian T. Peck, and dear sister of the late Martha Kuhn and William Whalen.

Her dear grandchildren David A. (Marianne) and Karen L. Greenwald, great grandchildren Brian and Colin Greenwald and nephews William and Gregory Kuhn also survive her.

Mrs. Peck was a long time member of the former Christ Lutheran Church in Fairview and the Spirit of Hope Lutheran Church in Mt. Ephraim. She was very devoted to her family and was the caretaker to many.

Mrs. Peck\’s funeral services are private and will be held at the convenience of her family. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Assoc., 706 Haddonfield Rd., Cherry Hill, NJ 08002.
