The demolition work of the GAF plant and the Vanquard building at the intersection of Charles and Water Streets in Gloucester City has been completed.
City officials announced three years ago prior to the November election that once the site is cleared Beazer homes plans to build townhouses and condominiums on the ground, calling it Meadowbrook II. If that promise was made in good faith then work on this project should begin shortly.
Presently the company is constructing Meadowbrook 1 on the grounds of the old Starlite Drive In, Rt. 130 and Klemm Avenue, also in Gloucester City.
