On August 20, 2008. (nee Kearns) Age 87. Surrounded by her loving family. Of Gloucester City. Loving wife of 56 years to the late Edward F. Widen. Loving mother of Rosemary C. Lee of Westville and Edward R. (Linda) Widen of Gloucester Heights. Loving grandmother of John, Edward, and Eric and great-grandmother of John Leonard. Dear sister of Harold (Marie) Kearns of Phila. and sister-in-law Caroline Brennan of Phila. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Rose was a faithful and devoted parishioner of Saint Mary’s R.C. Church in Gloucester City. She was a member of The Gloucester City Senior Citizens Club for many years.


Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend her viewing on Friday evening from 7 to 9 pm and Saturday morning from 8:30 to 9:30 am at the McCANN-HEALEY FUNERAL HOME: 851 Monmouth St. (at Brown St.) Gloucester City, NJ 08030. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 am at Saint Mary’s R.C. Church: 426 Monmouth Street, Gloucester City. Interment New Saint Mary’s Cemetery, Bellmawr.

On August 15, 2008. Age 83. Of Gloucester City. Loved and cared for by her sister, Claire T. Kain (late Francis I.) and predeceased by her brother Charles McKiernan. Loving aunt of Charles and Michael McKiernan and Joseph Kain, Mary Margaret Campbell, Claire Marie Devereaux, Brian Kain, Bernadette Gruff, Charles Kain, Stephen Kain, and Colleen Piechowski. Also survived by many great-nieces and great-nephews.


Mary was born and raised in Gloucester City. She was a faithful and devoted parishioner of Saint Mary’s R.C. Church in Gloucester City. Mary was a member of the Secular Order Discalced Carmelites of Philadelphia.


Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend her viewing on Tuesday morning from 8:30 to 10 am at the McCANN-HEALEY FUNERAL HOME: 851 Monmouth Street, (at Brown Street) Gloucester City. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:30 am at Saint Mary’s R.C. Church: 426 Monmouth Street, Gloucester City. Interment Sacred Heart Cemetery, Hainesport. There will be no evening. On August 17, 2008. (nee Sabatini) Age 97. Of Clearwater, Florida. Formerly of Gloucester City and South Philadelphia, PA. Loving wife of 62 years to the late Thomas DeStasio. Beloved mother of Henry R. DeStasio and his wife Mickey of Clearwater, Florida. Cherished grandmother of Thomas (Laura) DeStasio and Robert (Theresa) DeStasio. Devoted great-grandmother of Robert, Eric, Thomas and Sarah. Dear Sister of Joseph Sabatini of California. Sarah was born and raised in Philadelphia, PA. She moved to Gloucester City and later to Clearwater, Florida after her husband passed in 1995.


Sarah was a devoted parishioner of Saint Mary’s R.C. Church in Gloucester City and a former member of the Gloucester City Seniors Citizens Association. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend her viewing on Monday morning from 8:30 to 10:30 am at the McCANN-HEALEY FUNERAL HOME: 851 Monmouth Street, (at Brown Street) Gloucester City.


Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 am at Saint Mary’s R.C. Church: 426 Monmouth Street, Gloucester City. Entombment New Saint Mary’s Mausoleum, Bellmawr. There will be no evening viewing.
