HUNTERS CAN BEGIN TO APPLY FOR SECOND SPRING GOBBLER TAG

HARRISBURG – Beginning Jan. 1, Pennsylvania hunters who would like the opportunity to harvest a second spring gobbler may apply for a second spring gobbler license, according to Game Commission Executive Director Carl G. Roe.

Roe stressed that hunters are able to take one spring gobbler as part of their general hunting privileges. However, the special license affords those hunters interested in this additional opportunity to take a second spring gobbler. Hunters may only submit one application for the special wild turkey license during a license year.

Mrs. Irma \”Tina\” Welsh, 75, of Gloucester City

On December 24, 2008. (nee Bauer) Age 75. Of Gloucester City. Loving wife of 49 years to Kenneth Welsh. Devoted and \"cross5\" loving mother of Daniel (Sharon) Welsh of Gloucester City and Sandra (Richard) Rasmus of Deptford. Loving grandmother of Mark, Daniel, Jr., Sean, Michael and Andrew. Loving great-grandmother of Hayley and Jaden. Dear sister of Luise Gallwitz of Germany and Alma Mitchell of Colorado.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend her viewing on Tuesday morning from 9 to 10:30 am at the McCANN-HEALEY FUNERAL HOME: 851 Monmouth Street, (at Brown Street) Gloucester City. There will be no evening viewing. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 am at Saint Mary’s R.C. Church: 426 Monmouth Street, Gloucester City.

Interment New Saint Mary’s Cemetery, Bellmawr.

Radio Disney: Coming to a MAAC Arena Near You

Edison, NJ – The NCAA undertakes a number of initiatives with the goal of promoting women’s basketball. As part of the cause, the MAAC and Radio Disney will team up once again to present special events at selected MAAC women’s basketball contests featuring appearances by Disney stars Moises Arias and Jasmine Richards.

Arias, known as Rico on the hit show Hannah Montana, and Richards, who portrayed Margaret in the made-for-television Disney movie Camp Rock, will make half-time appearances at six different MAAC Schools this February (see schedule below). The actors will also be available to meet fans as part of a meet-and-greet after the conclusion of each game they appear at.

Total Turf Experience\’s development, expected to open early next year, will host adult and youth soccer, baseball, lacrosse and field hockey leagues, drawing players from South Jersey and Philadelphia, according to co-owner Jerry McGough. The site, featuring a 75,000-square-foot indoor turf facility and outdoor fields off Lambs Road, will also feature professionally run sports programs, McGough said. They include soccer clubs and clinics run by players and coaches from the Philadelphia KiXX.
