BELLMAWR SCHOOL TAXES TO INCREASE AN AVERAGE OF $44

By Chris Concannon

NEWS Correspondent

A scant few residents were on hand, as the Bellmawr Board of Education unveiled and adopted its 2009-10 budget during a public hearing March 31.

If approved by voters in the school election April 21, taxes on a $100,000 averaged assessed home will increase $44 per year.

The Bell Oaks Media Centre was prepared for a capacity crowd, but even school administrators were left wondering why the turnout was so sparse.

\”Where are all the parents?\” asked Burke Principal and Bellmawr resident Frank Jankowski Jr.

Board President Jody Mangus stated all agenda items listed were approved by the Board.
