Miss Bellmawr Pageant Update

The 44^th Annual Miss Bellmawr Pageant was held on Sunday, June 14th at the Bellmawr Ballroom. This year there were 18 contestants competing for the title and over 250 attended the Pageant. Congratulations to all the contestants and thank you to everyone that assisted in making the Pageant a success.

The Department of Defense announced today the death of a soldier who was supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom.

Sgt. Timothy A. David, 28, of Gladwin, Mich., died June 28 in Sadr City, Iraq, of wounds suffered earlier in Baghdad, Iraq, when an improvised explosive device detonated near his vehicle.

He was assigned to 2nd Battalion, 5th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division, Fort Hood, Texas.

Yes I believe their is a problem with high levels of chlorine and ammonia! Could this be a problem for our citizens? It is killing fish! We need to look into this. Why are the levels so high that this is killing fish?

Walton said the diocese believes the school is needed given population growth in the county. Families also have expressed support for the proposed school, he noted. The on-hold status gives a reprieve to Gloucester Catholic High School, an 81-year-old institution that educates about 750 students and is located in Gloucester City, Camden County. About two-thirds of its students come from Gloucester County. Walton said Gloucester Catholic would not close until the new school was ready.

Administrator Jack Lipsett did not disclose the name of the developer and said any work at the 100-apartment complex, off Crescent Boulevard near Klemm Avenue, is likely to be months away.
