The facts in this case are extremely important because it appears that the mainly white New Haven firefighters who did not get promoted have become a rallying cry for many who are still upset that a man named Obama occupies the White House. Don\’t believe it? Then you must have missed Pat Buchanan calling for the Republican Party to use the New Haven case as a means to reinvigorate its conservative image on a national level in an effort to reclaim white voters.

Unfortunately, the relative ease with which heavy stripers can be caught when conditions are right seems to inspire greed as bass with great spawning potential (virtually all stripers over 25 pounds are females) are thrown in fish boxes or up on beaches without consideration of the long-term consequences. There\’s nothing wrong with keeping a bass or two for personal consumption, but killing a great game fish to fill a neighbor\’s freezer before it\’s tossed after getting freezer burned doesn\’t make any sense.
