An estimated 500 residents crowded the Bellmawr Recreation Centre on Tuesday, August 4, for the Sixth Annual \”National Night Out.\”
Although held nationally for more than 20 years, this was Bellmawr’s sixth consecutive event aimed at educating the general public in crime prevention and awareness.
The Bellmawr Police Department, which hosts the yearly affair, was out in force.
The fanned out over the entire recreation complex, with various displays.
Chief William Walsh said that this is the third year at the Rec Centre, whereas previous events were held in the parking lot of the former Super Fresh (now Retro Fitness) on West Browning Road.
