HOBOKEN, N.J. (June 29, 2010) – The National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) released its final 2009-10 Learfield Sports Directors’ Cup standings, and Stevens Institute of Technology came in at No. 38. The ranking matches the best-ever finish in program history, previously achieved after the 2008-09 school year. Stevens totaled 380.5 points, which is an all-time high as total of 311 NCAA Division III Colleges and Universities were ranked with Williams College winning its fifth-straight Directors’ Cup.
Stevens finished second among all technology-based institutions (Massachusetts Institute of Technology – No. 11), and second in the state of New Jersey (The College of New Jersey – No. 8). Ithaca College was the only school from the Empire 8 to finish higher than Stevens, coming in at No. 22.
