GLOUCESTER CITY NJ-Wednesday’s torrential downpours flooded Broadway and Market Street, Gloucester City along with many other streets and roads throughout the South Jersey area. Neighborhood kids, not afraid of the thunder and lighting, took advantage of the situation and went swimming.

The National Weather Service has issued an excessive heat watch in Camden, Gloucester and northwestern Burlington counties.The heat watch will be in effect through Saturday evening.
According to the service, high temperatures on Friday are expected to reach in the mid-90s, with an afternoon high around 100 degrees.
Saturday\’s high may be one or two degrees cooler.
The service advises drinking plenty of fluids, staying in an air-conditioned environment when possible, and check on elderly relatives and neighbors.
