When I first sat down to write my thoughts they were filled with mix emotions. But as Iwrote, and reflected on my accomplishments over the past sixteen years the task became easier.

I served the borough as a member of council for 10 years and enjoyed that time very
much. Some projects were small and some were of larger scale, but non the less they
were all important for the well being of our community. I remember when our
community had no message for drug and alcohol prevention. I was asked to lead the
Runnemede Municipal Alliance Against Drug and Alcohol Abuse and it was clear that a
message was needed and our community was iIi crisis. I served as coordinator for the
past fourteen years. I would like to thank all the volunteers who helped me develop and
administer an anti-drug message. In particular, Mrs. Janet Fiola, School Psychologist,
Runnemede School District and together with two school administrations and caring staff
I know that we have made a difference with the life of a child or at risk family. I also
want to acknowledge Mrs. Harriet Rovner, Student Assistance Counselor at Triton High
School for the opportunity to work with her and the hundreds of students who have
participated in Alliance Programs.
