Congressman Chris Smith and Trenton Fire Department Instrumental
TRENTON–The City of Trenton, after months of anticipation, learned today the Trenton Fire Department will receive a $13.7 million grant. The Staffing for Fire and Emergency Response (SAFER) grants are awarded to communities in serious danger of massive personnel cuts which jeopardize lives and the community at large.
\”This is an incredible close to a very difficult process for our Fire Department and the City of Trenton. I am grateful for Congressman Smith and his staff who tirelessly presented Trenton’s need as a priority to Washington officials.
