Back in November, our own \”Core Team\” member, music director, SSM member,
and all around great guy Jim Wilson wrote this letter to the Gloucester County Times editor. How did we miss it? Click here or read it below:
To the Editor:
As a core team member of St. Mary\’s Roman Catholic Church in Malaga, the ongoing merger meetings with several local churches in an effort to form the newly named \”Our Lady of the Most Blessed Sacrament Parish,\” have been an eye-opener to the politics of church policy.
To my knowledge, this was to be a coordinated effort to share resources within the three parishes involved to strengthen — both spiritually and financially — the newly created umbrella parish mentioned above.
All three parishes had much to offer — until Tuesday, Nov. 9.
The parishioners of St. Mary\’s were left with a note on the door: \”You are hereby closed and all church business will be conducted at the other parishes.\”
