A 19-year-old firefighter with the United Hook and Ladder Company was killed responding to a house
fire Wednesday evening.
A 19-year-old firefighter with the United Hook and Ladder Company No. 33 in Adams County, Pa., was killed responding to a house fire Jan. 18, according to television station Fox 43 WPMT.
According to the news report, the young firefighter, crashed at about 6:30 p.m. in Berwick Township near the Lincoln Speedway. The victim was reportedly in a privately owned vehicle and may have been ejected in the violent crash en route to the scene in Hamilton Township.
The television station reports authorities are withholding the name of the victim pending notification of the next of kin.
