West Lawn and Flemington will try again this morning.
Game 4 of the Mid-Atlantic Regional Tournament between the host Owls and the New Jersey state runner-up was delayed by thunderstorms at the start for 90 minutes Thursday night. At 9:30 p.m., tournament officials postponed the game until 9 a.m.
In earlier action, Brooklawn, N.J., defeated Elkins, W.Va., 6-2; Columbia, Md., topped Spring City 3-1; and Stahl, Del., beat Doylestown 7-2.
The second-day schedule will begin approximately 20 minutes after the completion of West Lawn-Flemington.
Game 5 is an elimination contest between Elkins and Doylestown. Spring City takes on the West Lawn-Flemington loser in the second elimination game.
Brooklawn plays Stahl in the first winners bracket game. Columbia faces the winner between West Lawn and Flemington.
There will be 20-minute breaks between the games.
The teams are competing for a berth in the American Legion World Series in Shelby, N.C.
