IMPRESSIVE: Richland, Miss.’s $4.1 million police station was paid for entirely by civil forfeiture.

The Mississippi city of Richland has a new $4.1 million police station, a top-level training center and a fleet of black-and-white Dodge Charger police cars.

All of it was paid for through civil forfeitures of property and cash seized during traffic stops of what police say were suspected drug runners on Interstate 20.

10 men and 1 woman.

The rope was not strong enough to carry them all, so they decided that one had to leave, because otherwise they were all going to fall.

They weren\’t able to choose that person,
until the woman gave a very touching speech.

She said that she would voluntarily let go of the rope, because, as a woman, she was used to giving up everything for her husband and kids or for men in general, and was used to always making sacrifices with little in return.

As soon as she finished her speech,

In a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by more than 200 law enforcement officials and their families, the Gloucester County Law Enforcement Educational Resource Center opened its police museum Monday night (5/18) in a section of the library of Rowan College at Gloucester County.

\”Tonight is the culmination of three years of work by our committee,\” Gloucester County Prosecutor Sean F. Dalton said. The fundraising and furnishing and planning of exhibits made for a \”long road,\” the prosecutor said.

Opposing Primary candidates of the present Gloucester City Mayor and Council submitted a $\"6a00d8341bf7d953ef01bb07cd860f970d-800wi\"$ petition on May 19 to the City Clerk Paul Kain requesting a referendum be placed on the ballot to change the present form of government to a Council-Manager form of municipal government.

If the signatures on the petition are validated there would be a special election to vote on the referendum on June 16 just two weeks after the June 2 Primary, followed by another special election in July to vote on the candidates who would be running at large for council. The terms of the present mayor and council members would cease and they (Mayor Bill James, and council members Bill Hagan, John Hutchinson, Bruce Parry, Nick Marchese, Kellie Ferry and Jay Brophy) would have to vacate their seats by August 11, 2009.

The top seeded Broncs were upset by the fourth seeded Siena Saints in the second round of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Championship Tournament, held at Dutchess Stadium.

The Broncs had a 4-2 lead with 10 outs to go and their All-MAAC pitcher had just retired nine straight batters. This year the Broncs are 24-1 when leading after six innings. \”We’re in the game,\” said Rider head coach Barry Davis, the MAAC Coach of the Year.

Devoted father of Nancy Cain, Michele Cain-Harris, Michael Cain (Beth), and Kevin Cain. Grandfather to many. Beloved mother of his children Nancy Cain. Dear brother of Ginger, Mary, Marty, and the late Thomas and William. Survived by many nieces and nephews. Loving companion of Patricia Marino and her children, Kimberly Esterline, Brenda Watson, and Frank Marino.
John proudly served with the US Army. He was a member and past Post Commander of VFW Post 3324 and Teamsters 107.
Family and friends may meet at GARDNER FUNERAL HOME, RUNNEMEDE at 8:15am Friday to follow in procession to Brig. Gen. Wm. C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown for a 9:30am graveside service.

Officer Down: Detective Kerrie Orozco of Omaha, NE Shot and Killed | CNBNews.net

OMAHA, NE (May 20, 2015)–Detective Kerrie Orozco was shot and killed as she and other members of the Metro Area Fugitive Task Force attempted to serve a warrant on a man wanted for a shooting in September 2014.

The subject opened fire on the officers as they approached a home near the intersection of Read Street and Martin Avenue. Members of the task force returned fire, fatally wounding the man.

Detective Orozco was transported to Creighton University Medical Center where she succumbed to her wounds.

Detective Orozco had served with the Omaha Police Department for seven years. She is survived by her husband, newborn daughter, and two stepchildren.

GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP NJ MAY 19, 2015–Gloucester Township Police Department Lt. Edward \”Joe\” Bryant retired after serving 25 years as a Law Enforcement $\"\"$ Officer. Lt. Bryant served as a Class I Special Law Enforcement Officer for the Gloucester Township Police Department from 1990-1992, a Camden County Sheriff’s Officer from 1992-1995, before being hired by the Gloucester Township Police Department. Lt. Bryant has served the Department honorably as a DARE Officer, a Field Training Officer, a Traffic Unit Officer, Deputy Coordinator for Emergency Management, and was promoted to Sergeant of Police on January 1, 2002, where he served as a Deputy Platoon Commander. Lt. Bryant was promoted to Lieutenant of Police on June 29, 2006 and served as the Traffic Services Bureau Commander and as a Patrol Platoon Commander.
