Today, I stopped caring about my fellow man. I stopped caring about my community, my neighbors, and those I serve.

I stopped caring today because a once noble profession has become despised, hated, distrusted, and mostly unwanted.

I stopped caring today because parents refuse to teach their kids right from wrong and blame us when they are caught breaking the law. I stopped caring today because parents tell their little kids to be good or \”the police will take you away\” embedding a fear from year-one. Moms hate us in their schools because we frighten them and remind them of the evil that lurks in the world. They would rather we stay unseen, but close by if needed, but readily available to \”fix their kid\”.

GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP NJ (CNBNews.net)–On Monday, May 4, 2015 at 1:23 PM, Gloucester Township Police units and the Blackwood Fire Department were dispatched to the Charles W Lewis Middle School, after a maintenance worker reported that a battery, located in the boiler room, had exploded.

At the time of the incident, a maintenance worker from the school district was performing routine maintenance on a back-up battery belonging to a generator when the battery exploded. The battery, no larger than a standard car battery, was stored in a maintenance area which is located away from students and faculty.

GTPD Media Release:

On 05/05/2015, at approximately 7:19 PM, the Gloucester Township Police Department responded to the 200 block of Hobart Drive for a dwelling fire with possible entrapment. First arriving officers reported smoke conditions coming from the residence. One neighbor, who attempted to extinguish the fire, was located outside the residence suffering from smoke inhalation. Officers along with EMS personnel attempted to enter the residence to locate any additional victims but were driven back by heavy black smoke. All occupants were accounted for and were out of the residence.

CAMDEN CITY NJ May 1, 2015–This week, the Camden County Police Department recognizes an officer who went above and beyond the call of duty to help children in the neighborhood he patrols – Officer Stephen Marakowski.

Officer Marakowski joined the Camden County Police Department in 2013 after previously serving as an officer in North Wildwood for three years and Gloucester Township for two years. He is assigned to the Neighborhood Response Team 6^th Platoon in the city’s 2^nd District.
