Four men and two woman wanted for offenses including insurance fraud, filing false tax forms, parole violation, vehicle theft and heroin possession were arrested by officers of the Gloucester County Prosecutor’s Office in the past week.
Devin E. Cooper (DOB 8/13/88), of Lakehurst NJ, turned himself in 6/3/15 after a detective with the GCPO Major Crimes Unit discovered a false insurance claim filed in connection with a 4/17/15 vehicle fire in Deptford NJ in which Cooper was charged with arson. Cooper’s $25,000 bail posted for the arson case was permitted to also cover the insurance fraud charge.

Ann McElhinney and Phelim McAleer, the producers of the movie \”Gosnell,\” have signed a deal with Regnery Publishing to publish a book about the subject of their film, the late-term abortionist Kermit Gosnell.
In 2013, Gosnell was convicted on three counts of the first-degree murder of infants born alive and for the involuntary manslaughter of an adult patient named Karnamaya Mongar. He also was convicted of performing abortions beyond Pennsylvania’s 24-week limit.

GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP NJ June 16, 2015–On 06-15-2015 at approximately 09:40 hours Gloucester Township Police Communications received two 911 calls from employees inside the Rite Aid Store reporting an armed robbery.
Gloucester Township Police Units quickly arrived on location and immediately placed three nearby schools on Lock-Out; Glen Landing Middle School, Loring Flemming Elementary School, and the Mother Goose Learning Center. Gloucester Township Police officers were posted at each school during the Lock-Out to ensure the safety of both the students and staff.

West Trenton, N.J. – The New Jersey State Police and partnering domestic violence advocacy groups are seeking volunteers for Domestic Violence Response Teams (DVRT) in Cumberland County.
Volunteer advocates work in conjunction with police, county prosecutor’s offices, and private organizations to provide support, information, referrals, and a safety plan to victims of domestic violence.
Volunteers must attend a free, 40-hour training course, possess a valid driver’s license, be willing to serve on an on-call shift basis, and submit to background investigations and fingerprinting. Applications are currently being accepted. The training is scheduled to start on on June 29 with continuing classes that will end July 29.

Mayor William James and City Council approved an ordinance last week relating to Chapter 15 of the Gloucester City code entitled Alcoholic Beverages.
The ordinance will allow bars and saloons to serve breakfast and brunch on Sunday mornings.
Currently, establishments are not permitted to open, or sell alcohol, until 1 p.m. on Sundays.
