CNB ARCHIVES AUGUST 2009:Gloucester City Taverns Will Be Allowed to Open Early on Sundays

Mayor William James and City Council approved an ordinance last week relating to Chapter 15 of the Gloucester City code entitled Alcoholic Beverages.

The ordinance will allow bars and saloons to serve breakfast and brunch on Sunday mornings.

Currently, establishments are not permitted to open, or sell alcohol, until 1 p.m. on Sundays.
