Burlington County Prosecutor LaChia L. Bradshaw announced that a Maple Shade man has been sentenced to six years in prison for possessing Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM) as well as engaging in sexual acts with dogs.
Hunter Roy, 27, pled guilty in September 2025 to Endangering the Welfare of a Child (Second Degree) and Cruelty to Animals (Fourth Degree). The sentence, handed down last week in Superior Court in Mount Holly by the Hon. Philip E. Haines, J.S.C., was the result of a plea agreement with the Prosecutor’s Office.
The case began in May 2025 after the Prosecutor’s Office received information from the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children concerning Roy’s online activities.
The investigation revealed that Roy distributed more than 9,000 files depicting the sexual exploitation or abuse of a child, and that he was communicating in a sexual manner with an underage boy to whom he sent files containing CSAM. Multiple electronic devices were seized during the execution of a search warrant at his residence and analyzed by the BCPO High-Tech Crimes Unit.
The investigation further revealed that Roy made recordings of himself engaging in sexual acts with a Rottweiler as well as with another dog, then traded them online for videos of others having sex with dogs.
Roy was prosecuted by Assistant Prosecutor Stephen Eife, supervisor of the BCPO Special Victims Unit. The investigation was conducted by the Prosecutor’s Office High-Tech Crimes Unit, with assistance from the Maple Shade Police Department, the Union Beach Borough Police Department and United States Homeland Security Investigations – Cherry Hill Office. The lead investigator was BCPO Detective Tiffany Lenart.
The Burlington County Prosecutor’s Office is a member of the New Jersey Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.
