William C. Campbell, Jr., 79, of National Park and Gloucester City

“Squeeky” 

On February 7, 2026, at the age of 79, William passed away peacefully at Mount Holly Rehab. Formerly a longtime resident of National Park and Gloucester City. Survived by his longtime friends, Marie McGinnis (late Joseph), Chuck, Maureen and Christine Semola and his former wife, Kathleen Campbell.

Squeeky was born in Woodbury, NJ to the late William and Margaret Campbell. He was a graduate of Woodbury High School. Following high school, he proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War and was the recipient of the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal and Vietnam Campaign Medal. 

Squeeky proudly retired from the United States Postal Service in Drexel Hill, Pennsylvania. He dedicated many years of service as a volunteer with the National Park Fire and Ambulance. Squeeky was a longtime member of Townsend C. Young VFW Post 3620 in Gloucester City and a social member of VFW Post 6884. He was also a judge of the Drum and Bugle Corps.

Squeeky had a deep love for bowling and was an avid bowler for more than 50 years at Westbrook Lanes in Brooklawn, New Jersey. He was very active in the Interboro Men’s Softball League of Gloucester County, for National Park VFW Post 6884 where he generously gave his time as a coach, scorekeeper, treasurer and secretary. 

Relatives and friends are invited to his graveside prayer service and military honors on Saturday, March 21st at 11 AM in New St. Mary’s Cemetery, Bellmawr.
