Erik Telford: The Reasons We Give Thanks

\"\"When the 102 Pilgrims aboard the Mayflower arrived at Plymouth Rock in the fall of 1620, they were greeted by a New World filled with uncertainty, turmoil, and harsh conditions. Only half of the original settlers survived the first year, but despite the hardships faced, the Pilgrims still made it a point to spend time at the end of their first harvest with family and their community to feast and be thankful.

Gloucester Township Police Alert: Black Friday Shopping Tips

The Friday after Thanksgiving is reported to be the busiest shopping day of the year. Please see the below safety tips. \"\"

Before You Go

  • Fill up your gas tank. Make sure you’re not running low on gas in case it takes time to find parking or to get out of the parking lot. Or, in case you get delayed by winter weather conditions.
  • Decide how you’ll pay. If possible, carry only credit cards, and make photocopies so that you’ll have the account number and customer service phone number if your wallet is lost or stolen. If it\’s practical, carry just one card.

Letter to the Editor: Thank You!

Dear Editor-\"\"

The holidays are upon us and it is the time of giving. The giving of gifts, the giving of time, the giving of goodwill…and most importantly, the giving of thanks.

As a volunteer, I want to thank every person who has supported the American Heart Association | American Stroke Association. Perhaps it’s a donation, attending a Heart Walk, championing a healthy change or supporting your child in a Jump Rope For Heart program. No matter how you’ve shown support, I want you to know that you have made a difference.
