Wanted: Suspect for Homicide in the 15th District [VIDEO]

The Philadelphia Police Department needs your help:

On Sunday June 23, 2024, at approximately 10:09 pm, police responded to the 4700 block of Griscom Street where the remains of a 22-year-old Caucasian female victim, Anastasiya Stangret, (above) were discovered. The victim had a single gunshot wound to the head, and was in an advanced state of decomposition.

The victim was last seen on video several days prior, in the area of Penn and Arrott Streets in the Frankford section of Philadelphia. Police are seeking the help of the public to identify any potential suspects, or information related to the circumstances of her death.

THE CITY OF PHILADELPHIA IS OFFERING A REWARD OF $20,000 LEADING TO AN ARREST AND CONVICTION FOR EVERY HOMICIDE.

Philadelphia Police Investigating the Following Incidents

The following information is preliminary and subject to change. Updates will be provided as they become available.

On Sunday, December 21, 2025, at approximately 9:45 a.m., officers assigned to the 5th District responded to a radio call at 5xx Wartman Street for a stabbing at the residence. Upon arrival, officers located a 57-year-old male suffering from a stab wound to the rib area. Officers immediately transported the victim to Jefferson–Einstein Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased at 10:19 a.m. A 16-year-old female was taken into custody for further investigation. The investigation remains ongoing with the Homicide Unit.

Wanted: Suspect for Burglary in the 9th District [VIDEO]

Central Detective Division is seeking the public’s help identifying the individual seen in the following video clips.

On Friday, December 12, 2025, at approximately 7:25AM, an unknown black male gained entry to a shop in the Christmas Village by forcing open a side door. Once inside the suspect rummaged through the inside and then exited without taking any items.

Shooting Investigation

The following information is preliminary and subject to change; updates will be provided as they become available. At approximately 3:01 p.m., a shooting occurred inside the entrance of a supermarket located at 2301 Oregon Avenue in the city’s 1st District. An adult male sustained a gunshot wound to the arm and was transported by police to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center, where he is listed in stable condition. At this time, no motive has been identified, and no arrests have been made. The investigation remains ongoing and is being handled by the Shooting Investigation Group.

ICE Philadelphia Arrests Salvadoran Criminal Alien

WASHINGTON —ERO Philadelphia arrested Arnoldo Antonio Prieto-Lopez, a 51-year-old criminal illegal alien from El Salvador with a decades-long record, including a federal conviction for possession of fentanyl with intent to distribute and a 24-month prison sentence, Oct. 20. Despite previously holding lawful permanent resident status, the criminal alien is removable under federal law and a clear threat to public safety.

“This foreign-born criminal alien has repeatedly abused children, victimized communities and exploited his immigration status,” said ERO Philadelphia acting Field Office Director Michael T. Rose. “He’s convicted of child cruelty and neglect, and trafficking fentanyl. He has endangered families and exhibited a pattern of criminal conduct over decades. Our officers will not allow criminals to hide behind immigration status. We will arrest, detain and remove those who threaten public safety.”

AMERICAN LEGION POSTS HOSTING WATCH PARTIES FOR ARMY-NAVY GAME

Nationwide, American Legion posts are hosting watch parties for the Dec. 13 ‘America’s Game’, which will be broadcast at 3 p.m. ET on CBS.

For the second straight year, The American Legion is the official veterans organization and associate sponsor of the Army-Navy Game presented by USAA. The game will be broadcast at 3 p.m. ET on Dec. 13.

And across the nation, that broadcast will be shown in American Legion posts that are hosting watching parties. Posts are inviting both their American Legion Family members and the community to watch “America’s Game” while learning more about the organization’s mission and programs.

Philadelphia CBP Officers seize nearly 7 pounds of methamphetamine

PHILADELPHIA – U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers seized nearly seven pounds of Netherlands-bound methamphetamine on Tuesday that was discovered at an international shipping service facility in Delaware County, Pa.
An x-ray exam detected an anomaly in a parcel destined to an address in the Netherlands.

CBP officers opened the parcel and discovered a cloudy crystalline substance packed inside several zip-lock bags. Officers used a handheld elemental isotope analysis tool to identify the crystal-like substance as d-Methamphetamine hydrochloride.

Philadelphia Police Investigating the Suspicious Death of a 93-Year-Old Male [Vehicle Located]

Philadelphia police are investigating a suspicious death after a 93-year-old Black male was found unresponsive with lacerations inside a residence on the 4500 block of N. 16th Street on Friday, December 5, 2025. The man was discovered inside the residence at approximately 2:58 p.m., and medics pronounced him deceased at 3:05 p.m. Responding officers were notified that the decedent had lacerations to both the chest and head. The incident is being treated as a suspicious death pending the outcome of the investigation.
