With that thought in mind, I was surprised to see minuscule to non existent coverage of the 2009 NJAC baseball tournament. A spectacular game was played by TCNJ and Montclair State in the final game of yesterday\’s tournament action. I have provided a link below to a recap of that game.

For 9 innings it was a battle between the pitching ( Dan Ramos-Dominko ) and defense of TCNJ Vs the pitching ( Michael Streaman ) and defense of Montclair State. Gutsy pitching and spectacular defensive plays were made on both sides of the diamond. The score was 0-0 after 9 innings.

With one out in the top of the 10th inning, the TCNJ bats came to life. Ryan Anzelone started with a single. Mike Galeotafiore was hit by a pitch then Andrew Priece broke it open with a home run.by the end of the inning , the TCNJ offense had scored 10 runs. The game ended in a TCNJ 10-1 win.

It would have been nice to read about a classic baseball battle between 2 successful D3 NJAC programs in the respective papers.

Lee was raised in Gloucester City NJ. Following her graduation from Gloucester City High School in 1953 Lee joined the United States Navy. She left the Navy to enter into a brief marriage to George I. Hedge (since deceased). Lee grew in faith at the Center for Conscious Living in Moorestown, NJ. Prior to her illness Lee had been an active volunteer with \”The Hunger Project\”, an organization dedicated to the eradication of world hunger. Lee’s heart was in California where she spent 22 years of her life.

In accordance with her wishes the family plans to release her ashes into the Pacific Ocean off Laguna Beach. Cremation followed the donation of her remains to \”The Gift of Life\”. Lee spent the final months of her life in the nurturing environment of Laurel Lake Estates Assisted Living, 207 Laurel Road, Voorhees (behind the M. Allan Vogelson Regional Branch Library) where a Memorial Service will be held on Saturday May 9, 2009 at 4PM

One year has passed since that sad day, when one we Loved was called away.

 
God took her home it was His will, within our hearts she liveth still.

The Gloucester City News dated 4-30-2009 reports \”In regards to Gonzalez and Countryman, their suits against the city were dismissed and no records were supplied to anyone.\”

The statement is incorrect. The facts in the Gonzales matter are as follows;

A request was made to review a copy of Mr. Kain\’s leave usage for calendar year 2007.
The request was denied and I appealed to the GRC for assistance to acquire the information. The city and I entered into mediation with Ms. Fran Snyder as mediator.
