The first weekend in September will be one of firsts, and lasts, for the town of Brooklawn.
The 20th and final Brooklawn Shoprite Wiffleball Reunion will be Saturday, September 5, at 9:15 a.m., following the first Brooklawn Reunion on Friday night from 6-10 p.m. under the tents behind Alice Costello School.
The special party on Friday night is for people who lived or grew up in Brooklawn in the 1950s, 60s, and 70s, said Tom MacAdams, the reunion organizer.
The reunion is a chance to catch up and remember good times. Those attending can expect to enjoy games of the past – including pitching quarters, playing cards, and shooting craps.
