Died: October 22, 2015S. May Porter (nee Leathern), on October 22, 2015, of Pitman Manor, formerly of Runnemede and Blackwood. Age 90. Devoted wife of the late Thomas J. Wilk, Jr. and John B. Porter. Beloved mother of Barbara Swope (Robert J. Melone), Tom Wilk (Elizabeth), and John M. Porter (Tina). Loving Grandmother of Danielle MacKay (James), Kathleen Porter, Maria Wilk, John C. Porter, Eric M. Porter, and Julia Wilk. Great-grandmother of Riley and Mason MacKay. Sister of Charles Leathern (Letty), Helen Miller, Joan Powell, the late Lester Leathern and William Leathern. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
May was a member of the Runnemede Senior Citizens Club and a former parishioner and choir member at St. Maria Goretti Church.
There will be a viewing from 8:30am to 10:15am Tuesday morning at Gardner Funeral Home, RUNNEMEDE. Funeral Mass 11am at Holy Child Parish, St. Maria Goretti Church, 321 Orchard Ave, Runnemede. Interment New St. Mary’s Cemetery, Bellmawr.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in May’s name to the United Methodist Homes Fellowship Fund, care of Pitman Manor, 535 N. Oak Ave, Pitman 08071.
