(TRENTON) — As Washington imposes new hurdles for families receiving health care and food assistance, the General Assembly today took decisive action to help more than two million New Jersey residents keep their benefits. Bill A3883, Sponsored by Speaker Craig J. Coughlin, and Assembly members Annette Quijano, Shanique Speight, and Jerry Walker, would help families and individuals comply with new federal requirements that threaten their access to two critical safety-net programs—NJ FamilyCare and SNAP.

Commissioner Colleen Bianco Bezich and the Camden County Office of Veterans Affairs held a medal ceremony aboard the Battleship New Jersey to recognize the service and sacrifices of five Camden County veterans.
“Our veterans answered the call to serve when their country needed them, and they deserve to know their commitment has not been forgotten,” said Commissioner Bianco Bezich, liaison to Veterans Affairs. “It is an honor to recognize them and express our gratitude on behalf of the entire county.”
The following veterans were honored and presented with one or more Camden County service medals, including the Camden County Military Service Medal, Camden County Korean War Service, Medal Camden County Vietnam Service, Medal, and the Camden County War on Terrorism Medal.
All New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission (NJMVC) facilities, including agencies, road test sites, and inspection stations, will be closed Friday, July 3, 2026, and Saturday, July 4, 2026, in observance of the upcoming holiday.
The Commission’s website, NJMVC.gov, remains open 24/7, providing a convenient way for customers to complete their motor vehicle business. Over 25 online services are available, including driver license renewals and replacements, vehicle registration renewals and replacements, address changes, driver record requests, personalized and specialty plate requests, and more.
New Jerseyans in need of motor vehicle services should always visit the website first to use online services, schedule required appointments for in-person services and driver testing, and resolve the most common NJMVC-related customer concerns.
