Congressman Andrews Looks Back at 2012 | cnbnews

As we head into 2013, I wanted to ask for your views and report back to you on my efforts to improve our community and our nation.

Without question, in stores, factories, schools, and family kitchens, the main issue facing our country and South Jersey is how to improve our economy. This is a compelling task for business, labor and non-profits, academic and health care institutions, faith organizations and people of all political persuasions. Everyone has a role to play. To this end, it is imperative that both political parties work together. In Washington, this requires decisions that will reduce our deficit and enable investment in better schools, roads and transit systems, clean water and better health care for all. I will continue to support solutions that properly balance reductions in spending with revenue increases, without raising taxes on the middle class but instead requiring a modest increase in revenues from the most fortunate Americans.
