Pennsylvania Gaming Commission Meeting to Consider Casino License for Philadelphia

HARRISBURG, Pa., Nov. 7, 2014 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ — The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board announced today that it will hold a special meeting at the Pennsylvania Convention Center on Tuesday November 18, 2014 for the purpose of considering an award of the Category 2 (stand-alone casino) license in Philadelphia.

The meeting will begin at 1:00 p.m. in Room 201 of the Convention Center located at 1101 Arch Street.

Four applicants are under consideration for the Category 2 license, the final such license permitted under the Pennsylvania Race Horse Development and Gaming Act. A Category 2 stand-alone license enables the casino operator to have up to 5,000 slot machines and 250 table games.
