GLOUCESTER CITY NJ (CNBNewsnet)–Long-time Gloucester City resident and gas station owner John W. \”Johnny B\” Barkham died on June 23, 2015, at the age of 92.
John was a proud member of the Gloucester City High School Class of 1941. Prior to retiring, he was the owner of the Getty Gas Station at Broadway and Somerset Street in Gloucester City, a member of the Gloucester City Senior Citizens Association, and a 4th Degree Knights of Columbus. John was the drummer with \”The Harry V Five\” and performed his own band called \”Johnny B & The Rock A Bops\”.
Loving husband of Josephine (nee Stramacchia). Father of Jonnie Valentino (William) of Gibbstown, Holly Ann Doto (James) of Cherry Hill and Joseph Capozzoli of W. Deptford. Grandfather of Vincent and Samantha Doto. The brother-in-law of Alice Dillenschneider.
Funeral services were under the direction of the Boucher Funeral Home, 1757 Delsea Dr., Deptford, NJ 08096. Interment private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Lighthouse Hospice, 1040 N.
