Juan Rojas, 77, of Woodbury

Juan Rojas, 77, of Woodbury, NJ, passed away peacefully on November 16, 2025, after a hard-fought battle with leukemia. He was surrounded by his loving family when he was called home to God.

Born on September 1, 1948, in San Juan, Puerto Rico, Juan was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend to many. He spent much of his life in Gloucester City, NJ, where he and his wife raised their daughters and built a home filled with love, laughter, and loud opinions.

Juan worked for many years as a heavy equipment transporter, taking pride in his work and in providing for his family. Away from the job, he was an avid muscle car enthusiast, with a special talent for breathing new life into classic cars. He also enjoyed cheering on the Phillies and Eagles, engaging in fiery political debates, and spending time on the water fishing and boating. Some of his happiest hours were spent “lost at sea” with his beloved wife – always managing to find their way home together.

Juan was preceded in death by his parents and his daughter, Joann. He is survived by his loving wife, Peggy; his children David, Alfredo (Carmen), Elisa (Eric), and Emily (Brian); his sisters Aida and Miriam, his brotherJosé, and his cousins; and his many grandchildren who brought him endless joy: David, Sabatio, Novia, Alexa, Valydia, Jonathan, Adrianna, Diana, Matthew, Jacob, Dominic, and Brian.

Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing on Friday, November 21st from 11 AM to 12:30 PM at the McCANN-HEALEY FUNERAL HOME, 851 Monmouth St., Gloucester City, where his funeral service will be celebrated at 12:30 PM. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations of new gloves, mittens, and other essentials in support of a winter donation drive benefiting members of the community in Camden, NJ, and the surrounding area.
