On Tuesday, May 19, 2026, the Homicide Fugitive Squad successfully apprehended 21-year-old Zaire Manning on the 6300 block of Greene Street. The arrest was executed with the assistance of the U.S. Marshals Service Fugitive Task Force. Manning faces charges for the murder of 20-year-old Imani Ringgold and the wounding of two other victims who survived the gunfire.
The Philadelphia Police Department is maintaining its active public appeal to locate the remaining individuals connected to the deadly Tuesday evening shooting. Investigators are still searching for 26-year-old Mustafa King, who remains at large and is wanted for homicide.
The investigation has previously determined that Ringgold was an innocent bystander and was not the intended target of the violence. According to investigators, she had just purchased lunch and was traveling to work when she inadvertently encountered the incident as it unfolded. Police stated that her proximity to the scene and the timing of the encounter make it highly likely she was mistaken for a member of the intended target group.
A $20,000 reward remains available for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the remaining suspects. Anyone with information is strongly urged to contact the Philadelphia Police Department Homicide Unit at 215-686-3334 or the department’s anonymous tipline at 215-686-TIPS (8477).
An update will be shared once the arrest process is complete.
