
Route 130/Crescent Boulevard is scheduled to be closed and detoured in both directions beginning Friday at Klemm Avenue for railroad crossing repairs in Gloucester City, Camden County. Access will be maintained for local traffic.
Beginning at 7 p.m. tomorrow, Friday, August 21 until 7 p.m. Sunday, August 23, Route 130/Crescent Boulevard northbound and southbound will be closed between Klemm Avenue and the Bridge over Newton Creek to replace the railroad crossing and approaches. Access to local businesses will be maintained. The following detours will be in place:
Route 130/Crescent Boulevard northbound Detour:
- Motorists on Route 130/Crescent Boulevard northbound will be directed stay left toward I-76 westbound/Walt Whitman Bridge/Ben Franklin Bridge
- Take Exit 2 to I-676 northbound/Camden/Ben Franklin Bridge
- Take Exit 1 to Collings Avenue/Collingswood/Gloucester
- Turn right onto Collings Road
- Turn left to take the ramp to I-295/I-76/Route 42
- Continue on I-676 southbound
- Take Exit 1A to Route 130 North/Route 168 South/Camden/Trenton
- Take the ramp to Route 130 North to Route 168 North/Collingswood/Trenton
Route 130/Crescent Boulevard southbound Detour:
- Motorists on Route 130/Crescent Boulevard southbound will be directed stay left to take the ramp to Route 168 South/Mount Ephraim
- Continue on Black Horse Pike/Route 168 southbound
- Turn right onto CR 551 Spur
- Turn right onto Market Street, back to Route 130.
In order to provide safer and smoother railroad crossing, the existing crossing will be replaced with new concrete crossings and asphalt approaches. This federally funded project is included within NJDOT’s railroad grade-crossing safety program which repairs, upgrades, or removes approximately 50 crossings each year, statewide.
