There’s probably never been a day within my memory that something outdoors, usually hunting or fishing, hasn’t at least come to mind. If I can’t be rambling the woods and fields, I can at least daydream about it or swap stories about it with someone. During all those discussions, an awful lot of opinions are shared, hashed and rehashed.
Many of us agree that there’s a grand heap of things we hunters in Georgia need to change when it comes to our varied and beloved pursuits. But I’d like to focus on one: deer season.
Just in case you haven’t been in the woods or talked with anyone who has since our state firearms season ended a couple of weeks back, be advised that there’s a ton of evidence pointing to a secondary rut going on right this minute within our whitetail herd. No, not the second week in November; NOW.
