Rutgers-Camden Presents Art for your Ears

Art for your ears: New electro-acoustic series amplifies women and identity exhibit at Rutgers–Camden in November.

CAMDEN – Enrich your auditory (and art) senses with a lunchtime installation series that amplifies the topic of women and identity at the Rutgers–Camden Center for the Arts this November.

At 12:30 p.m. Tuesdays, Nov. 3-24, \”Sounds from the Weave\” will feature original electro-acoustic creations that complement the ongoing exhibit \”A Complex Weave: Women and Identity in Contemporary Art.\”

According to Mark Saki, an assistant professor of music at Rutgers–Camden, where he directs the Rutgers Electro-Acoustic Lab, the 33 selected works by women composers the world over range from serious concert music to more experimental sound art.
