On \”Black Friday\”, November 28, 2014, the Gloucester Township Police Department will once again be engaged in high visibility efforts and activities to encourage a safe environment for shopping at the start of this holiday season. High visibility patrols, target hardening detail, and plain clothes officers will be deployed to decrease aggressive driving, reduce shopliftings, provide homeland security, and protect all of the holiday shoppers who come for a great shopping experience in Gloucester Township.

Gloucester Township Police Arrest Holiday Grinch

For Theft Of Christmas Decorations And Lawn Ornaments 

On Sunday, November 23, 2014 at approximately 8:05 PM, the Gloucester Township Police responded to the 400 Block of Dearborne Avenue to investigate a report of a female who was seen taking Christmas decorations and lawn ornaments from a home. An observant citizen was able to provide a partial vehicle registration for the suspect as the vehicle, a Nissan minivan, fled the area towards the Black Horse Pike.

CNB Hunting/Fishing PA : BEAR HUNTERS TAKE 1623 Bears on 1st Day

PRELIMINARY FIRST-DAY BEAR HARVEST RESULTS

 

The first day of Pennsylvania’s statewide bear season resulted in a harvest of 1,623 black bears, according to preliminary totals released Monday by the Pennsylvania Game Commission.

Archery and other early bear season harvest data still is being entered into the GameCommission’s database, and is not available at this time.

Bears have been harvested in 52 counties during the statewide season so far.

The top 10 bears processed at check stations by Monday were either estimated or confirmed to have live weights of 540 pounds or more.

Attorney General Eric Holder Statement on Grand Jury Decision

NOVEMBER 25, 2014–Attorney General Eric Holder released the following statement Monday regarding the conclusion of the St. Louis County grand jury proceeding in the shooting of Michael Brown:

\”While the grand jury proceeding in St. Louis County has concluded, the Justice Department’s investigation into the shooting of Michael Brown remains ongoing. Though we have shared information with local prosecutors during the course of our investigation, the federal inquiry has been independent of the local one from the start, and remains so now. Even at this mature stage of the investigation, we have avoided prejudging any of the evidence. And although federal civil rights law imposes a high legal bar in these types of cases, we have resisted forming premature conclusions.
