The Coast Guard Jayhawk helicopter banked hard, flying around the last reported location of the distressed swimmer. The eyes of the helicopter crew were glued to the water, searching for any sign of splashing or movement. The crew\’s newest member, Isaac Simmons started pointing and yelling over the headset.

Dr. Joe Dobrosky holds a child during a medical mission to Uganda. The trip was organized by the Friends of Father Vincent, a nonprofit organization started by parishioners
of St. Charles Borromeo, Sicklerville.
In June, the Friends of Father Vincent, a South Jersey group, led a medical mission to Paidha, Uganda, bringing more than $10,000 worth of medicine and medical supplies to the community.
Led by Dick and Marie Schmitt of St. Charles Borromeo Parish in Sicklerville, the non-profit organization provided medical supplies that were purchased with funds from donations and fundraisers. Three doctors, a nurse practitioner, two nurses, and administrative help made the journey to Paidha.

PORTLAND, Maine, Aug. 28, 2014 /PRNewswire/ — Marilyn Monroe is arguably one of the most iconic figures of the 20 th century. It is not often that a never-before-seen pristine image of her from her prime emerges. But one such photo was discovered in a shoebox of old family photos from more than half a century ago.
At the time of the photo she was 28. She died a short eight years later on Aug. 5, 1962. If she were alive today she would be 84 years old.

That is why Mayor William James, his advisory committee, and several of the town\’s numerous and extraordinarily dedicated veterans of foreign wars are putting out the hue and cry for pictures of the approximately 68 townsmen who gave their lives defending the United States and its allies.
Their campaign intends to bring 2 feet by four feet banners with photos and other relevant details for each lost veteran to existing poles along Broadway during the months of May and October, when the nation celebrates Memorial Day and Veterans\’ Day, respectively.

Gloucester City PD Weekly Crime Report
August 22nd. (10:30 pm) Denise M. Laute (52), currently homeless, was arrested on Market Street at 3rd. Street for bench warrants and bail jumping. She was later released on bail.
August 22nd. (8:16 pm) William J. Culfin 3rd. (27), was arrested on Atlantic Street at Somerset Street for bench warrants. He was later released on bail.
August 23rd. (1:53 pm) A resident of the 100 block of Sylvan Avenue reported sometime between 7:30 am and 1:00 pm unknown person(s) forced entry into the home through the back door and stole a jewelry box. The investigation is ongoing.
August 23rd. (9:51 am) A resident of the 800 block of Cumberland Street reported sometime overnight, unknown person(s) siphoned the gas out of her vehicle while it was parked in front of her house.

Joseph Graziano, 77, and Dominick J. Barone, 44, both of Springfield, New Jersey, each pleaded guilty before District Judge Claire C. Cecchi in Newark federal court to separate informations charging them with one count of racketeering conspiracy. Graziano agreed to forfeit $1 million to the United States and Barone agreed to forfeit $100,000.
