Timothy Polijczuk of Mount Ephraim Pleads Guilty to Haddon Township Hit-and-Run /cnbnews.net

Camden County Prosecutor Warren Faulk and Haddon Township Police Chief Mark Cavallo reported a Mount Ephraim man pleaded guilty Wednesday to a hit and run that took the life of a Blackwood woman.

Timothy Polijczuk, M/51, of Mount Ephraim, pleaded guilty Wednesday to Leaving the Scene of a Fatal Motor Vehicle Accident. He is expected to be sentenced to six years incarceration in a New Jersey state prison.

 Polijczuk was driving on a suspended license in a blue Chevrolet truck with a refrigeration box mounted on its bed when he struck 67-year-old Joyce Putmon as she crossed the Black Horse Pike in Haddon Township on March 3, 2013. He admitted before Superior Court Judge Lee Solomon Wednesday that he fled the scene of the incident.

 The victim was going from the Audubon Shopping Center to the bus stop when she was struck.

Sentencing is scheduled for January 10, 2014.

Gloucester City Zoning/Planning Board Stops Bail Bond Business from Opening on North Broadway

GLOUCESTER CITY NJ–The Gloucester City Zoning/Planning Board voted against the \"6a00d8341bf7d953ef0192aad3a700970d-500wi\" opening of a bail bond business on Wednesday night by a vote of 4-2.

 

Joe Feldman, owner of Boardwalk Bail Bonds had applied to the city housing code official in July and was given a green light to proceed with his plans to open an office at 112 N. Broadway, 

 

Once given the okay Feldman started to fix up the rental office. He erected a sign out in front of the property which had been vacant for the past two years.

Margaret Ellen Dunkirk, age 63, of Gloucester City died on September 14, 2013. \"Image\"

 She is the beloved mother of James W. Smith (Melissa), Edward C. Grabowski and Nicholas J. Vitagliano, dear sister of John Dunkirk (Ruth), Robert Dunkirk, Henry Sturmfels, Walter Sturmfels and Mary Sturmfels and loving grandmother of Dillon J. Smith, Leira Rae Smith and Teagan ElvereGrabowski.

Margaret was a friend of Bill W’s, founder of the Gloucester City Pool League and former President of the Kiss Club in Woodbury.

 Relatives and friends are invited to meet Friday from 9:00 AM to 12:00 Noon at the ETHERINGTON-CRERAN FUNERAL HOME, 700 POWELL ST., GLOUCESTER CITY, NJ. Margaret’s funeral service will be held 12:00 Noon at the funeral home. Interment will be private at the request of her family.

CONTINUATION OF PARISH AREA

PASTORAL PLANNING INITIATIVE

 

 

PHILADELPHIA PA–The Archdiocese of Philadelphia announced today the continuation of the Parish Area Pastoral Planning Initiative among 46 parishes in Philadelphia, Bucks, Delaware and Montgomery Counties. This process is designed to allow groups of parishes known as Pastoral Planning Areas (PPAs) within the same geographic area to undertake a program of self-study. It is led by the pastors in conjunction with parish leadership, parishioners, and the Archdiocesan Strategic Planning Committee.
