Changes this year will allow hunters to keep more birds in their possession.
Pennsylvania’s early migratory bird seasons have been approved, and changes this year will increase the number of birds hunters can keep in their possession.
The early seasons for mourning doves, Canada geese, woodcock and other migratory bird species break down similarly to last year.
The biggest difference is in regard to possession limits. A change in federal regulations has allowed Pennsylvania this year to increase possession limits for most migratory game birds from two times the daily bag limit to three times the daily bag limit.

The Eagles released the following statement Friday:
Riley Cooper released the following statement:
\”The last few days have been incredibly difficult for me. My actions were inexcusable. The more I think about what I did, the more disgusted I get. I keep trying to figure out how I could have said something so repulsive, and what I can do to make things better.
Right now, I think it\’s important for me to take some time to reflect on this situation. The organization and my teammates have been extremely supportive, but I also realize that there are people who will have a tough time forgiving me for what I\’ve done. The best thing for me, and for the team, is to step away for a period of time.
During this time I\’m going to be speaking with a variety of professionals to help me better understand how I could have done something that was so offensive, and how I can start the healing process for everyone. As long as it takes, and whatever I have to do, I\’m going to try to make this right.\”

Brooklawn is hosting the Senior American Legion Mid-Atlantic Regional Tournament starting Thursday at Campbell’s Field, meaning the team gets an automatic bid into the field.
From players to coaches, however, they wanted to earn their spot.
They did just that Saturday, defeating Flemington10-4 and then Gibbsboro 6-1 in the final to win the team’s fourth straight New Jersey state title and 27th overall. Brooklawn will still be the host entrant in the regional, with Gibbsboro earning the state bid by virtue of making the final.
\”We wanted to win our way into the tournament and not just be the host, and we did that,\” said coach Dennis Barth. \”We were playing our best ball starting with the districts. This is the best we’ve played all year, and we’ve really started to hit all through the lineup.\”
