OBITUARY: SHELTON RICHARDSON, OF CRYSTAL RIVER, FL. FORMERLY OF PHILADELPHIA

 

Suddenly, on June 11, 2013. Age 67. Of Crystal River, FL. Formerly of Philadelphia. Son of the \"Images-3\" late Forest Glover Richardson and Maggie Drewery Adams. Survived by his loving wife and soul mate of 27 years, MaryEllen Richardson (nee Fuchs); his daughter Elaine; his brothers and sisters, Douglas Richardson (Mary) of NJ, Ward Drewery (Anne) of NC, William Drewery (late Debbie) of NC, Lawrence \”Dicky\” Drewery (Barbara) of Philadelphia, Patrick \”Peter\” Drewery of CA, Julius \”Muddy\” Drewery, Patricia Richardson of NC, Lorenda Richardson and the late Louise Richardson, many step children, grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews. 

 

Born in Philadelphia on July 6, 1945, Shelton grew up in Wilson, NC and later returned to Philadelphia where he worked as a member of Local Union 332 Labor Union for 34 years. In 2005, he and MaryEllen retired to Florida where they lived together for the last 8 years. Shelton was a very generous person who loved his friends, fishing, gardening and a cold beer. 

 

Viewing will be held Monday from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the McCANN-HEALEY FUNERAL HOME: 851 Monmouth Street, Gloucester City. Funeral service 12:30 PM in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Harleigh Cemetery, Camden.

(December 23, 1923 – June 15, 2013)

Leo Goss, on June 15, 2013, of Gloucester. Age 89.

Beloved husband of the late Gloria (nee Vannetti). Loving father of Wayne (the late Eve) and Gregg (Bonnie). Devoted grandfather of Benjamin, Wayne L., Jr. and Adam and great grandfather of Alexa Joyce. Dear brother of Marge, Rose and John.

Leo was a member of V.F.W.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the viewing from 9 to 10am Wednesday morning at GARDNER FUNERAL HOME, RUNNEMEDE.

Funeral service 10am at the funeral home.

Interment Eglington Cemetery, Clarksboro.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Leo’s name to Gloucester County Animal Shelter, 1200 N. Delsea Drive, Clayton, NJ 08312.

Fire reported at Bob\’s Little Sports Shop in Glassboro | NJ.com

GLASSBORO NJ (JUNE 15, 2013)–An all hands working fire was reported around 2 p.m. in the garage behind the sports shop at 316 Delsea Drive. Heavy smoke was seen coming from the roof.
The roof eventually collapsed during the blaze.
Glassboro Fire Department is currently responding to the fire. Reports online indicate the response was briefly delayed due to a faulty fire hydrant on Delsea Drive. Additional responding departments include Mantua, Washington Township, Williamstown and Pitman.
A firefighter was taken from the scene and treated for minor injuries, according to authorities

SAINT JOSEPH DEDICATES NEW CHURCH

 

 

Ground was broken in March 2012 

 

DOWNINGTOWN, PA – JUNE 12, 2013 – Saint Joseph Roman Catholic Parish in Downingtown, Chester County will dedicate its new church at 4 p.m. on Saturday, June 15th at 460 Manor Avenue, Downingtown, PA. This celebration is the culmination of planning for future parish and enrollment that began in 2007.

 

The Rite of Solemn Dedication will be celebrated by Archbishop Charles J. Chaput, O.F.M. Cap, Archbishop of Philadelphia. Approximately 1,200 parishioners, priests, community officials, and those involved with building the church will be in attendance.
