Joan Marie Fox Glassman White, 84, of Gloucester City

On November 28, 2025, Joan Marie Fox Glassman White passed away at home at the age of 84. She was born on May 29, 1941 in Stratford, New Jersey. Joan is predeceased by her parents, Royden and Eleanor Fox, her sister Helen Ehret, her husband T. Russell White and her longtime companion Paul Kolsun. She is survived by her children Patricia “Patty” Hogue (Bobby) of Jacksonville, Florida, William J. Glassman (Denise) of Gloucester City, New Jersey and Edward R. Glassman (Michele “Mickie”) of Gloucester City, New Jersey, Sherry Kraft (Robert) of Blackwood, New Jersey, Douglas White (Lorraine), Linda Locker (Keith) and Dawn MacFarland (Tom) of Morgantown, West Virginia, as well as grandchildren, great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Nancyanne Caruso, 91, of Collingswood

Nancyanne Caruso passed away quietly surrounded by her family on Tuesday, November 25, 2025. She was 91.

Nancy was the original owner of Arts Plus in Collingswood, New Jersey which she started as a ceramic shop. During that time she became an integral member of the Collingswood Business Association and helped transform Haddon Avenue into what it is today. She was the founder of the Collingswood Mayfair which she started as a juried art exhibit along Haddon Avenue 46 years ago. She did this while serving as the Executive Secretary of the Oil Heat Association of South Jersey, which is an association of fuel oil dealers. She held this position for over 40 years until she was 83 years old and finally retired.

William “Will” Heinel, 34, of Collingswood

Will passed away peacefully into the arms of his Lord and Savior on November 23, 2025. A resident of Collingswood, NJ he was 34 years old.

Beloved son of Brett and Kathleen Heinel. Loving brother of Jacob Heinel and Joseph DiLiberto. He is also survived by his grandfather, Roy DiLiberto and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Beloved wife of the late Samuel R. “Bob” Marshall and mother of the late Melody Stevenson-Marshall. She is lovingly survived by her sons, Robert D. Marshall (Mary Jane Marshall) and Christopher W. Marshall. Grandchildren: Jessica Marshall-Gerber, Robert Stevenson-Ryan, Adam Marshall (Kristen Goedde), Melody Marshall (Joey McClelland) and Grace Marshall. Great Grandchildren: Chase and Riley Ryan, Jane, Mary, Luke, Gina, Leia, Paul, Sara, Rose and Lisa Gerber.

Ronald V. Benko, of Bellmawr

Ronald V. “Ron” Benko of Bellmawr, NJ passed away the morning of November 23, 2025, with his family by his side. Born on December 24, 1934 in Camden, NJ to the late John D. and Bertha (Boguszewski) Benko.

In 1952, Ron enlisted in the United States Marine Corps and proudly served his country, spending 2 years stationed in Korea, until his Honorable Discharge in 1960. There was never a time you would see Ron without wearing his Korean War Vet hat. He was a self-employed horse trainer and was a former member of the Local #322 Plumbers and Pipefitters Union in Winslow Twp., NJ.

John W. Dobleman, One of the Founders of the Gloucester City Cyclone Girls Softball Team

(Gloucester City, NJ)(October 11, 2025)(CNBNews)--John W. Dobleman (photo) died suddenly on October 8, 2015, at the age of 48. A lifelong resident of Gloucester City, NJ, “Square Head”, as he was known, was one of the founders of the Gloucester Cyclones, a traveling softball team for young girls. Asked how he got his nickname, his older brother Ziggy said, “When I first saw him, after he was born, all I could see was his head sticking out of the blanket. I said he had a ‘Square Head’. The nickname stayed with him for the rest of his life.”

A graduate of Gloucester City High School, Class of ’85, John was an outstanding softball player and played for several men’s teams in the area when he was younger.

JIM NICHOLSON, AN EXTRADITIONARY MAN

Jim Nicholson was once presented with one of lifes great open questions: How would you describe yourself? He died on February 22, 2019.

For some people, that could be an invitation for ego-stroking, a chance to paint the most flattering, fascinating portrait their imaginations can conjure.

Mr. Nicholson answered with the verbal equivalent of a shrug. He was a simple man, he said, not terribly complicated. Nothing much to see here, in other words.

You could fill a phone book with all of the things he left out. Mr. Nicholson was an accomplished investigative journalist and a legendary obituary writer at the Philadelphia Daily News, where he spent 19 years celebrating the lives of men and women who were the true lifeblood of the city the cooks, carpenters, bus drivers and janitors whose stories often went untold.

Marion I. D’Amico, 92, of Westmont, formerly of Collingswood

On November 22, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. A resident of Westmont and formerly of Collingswood, NJ, Marion was 92.

Beloved wife of 47 years to the late Nicholas P. D’Amico. Loving mother of Robin (David) Fry of Haddon Township, NJ and Charles Robertson of Cinnaminson, NJ. Marion is also survived by her grandchildren: Barb (Kevin) Dunn, Megan (Marcus) Dozier, Nick (Ashley) Robertson and Mandi (Alex) Shourds; great grandchildren: Connor, Patrick, Leighann, Riley, Logan, Jaxon and Harper, as well as a sister, Helen and many nieces and nephews.

Marion was a longtime, active member of Logan Memorial Presbyterian Church of Audubon, NJ.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her visitation on Saturday, November 29, 10:00 to 11:00 AM at FELLOWSHIP COMMUNITY CHURCH, 710 Collings Ave., Collingswood, NJ. Funeral service will follow at 11:00 AM. Interment private.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Marion’s memory to Logan Memorial Presbyterian Church, 18 W. Merchant St., Audubon, NJ 08106.

Francis Thomas Iacovone, beloved coach athletic & director at Most Holy Redeemer

Francis “Franny” Iacovone, born August 11, 1930, passed away surrounded by the love of his family.

Franny was predeceased by his beloved wife Marie, with whom he shared 42 wonderful years of marriage. He was blessed a second time in life when he married Stella, his wife of 27 years. He often said he was incredibly lucky to have had two wonderful women to share his life with.

He was the devoted father of Tommy (Mary), Debbie (Kip), Barbara (Bob), Annamarie (Fran), Robert (Diane), and Donna (Chuck).

To his nineteen grandchildren, he was the most incredible Gramps and Pop—each one somehow made to feel as though they were his only one. He was also the proud great-grandfather of 21 of the luckiest children ever to have been blessed with his love.

Kathleen Toal, 65, formerly of Medford

On November 15, 2025, in Voorhees, NJ, formerly of Medford, passed away at the age of 65. She was the daughter of the late Edward and Nora (Usher) Toal. She was the wife of the late David Dare Wenger and her late infant son David Dare Wenger Jr. She was also the beloved sister of the late Lenora Toal, Edward Toal, Denny Toal, and Michael Toal. Kathleen is survived by her cherished daughter, Sarah Wenger, twin brother Shawn Toal, and her many nieces and nephews.

Kathleen had worked as a bill collector for Phillips & Cohen Associates, Ltd. Kathleen enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She especially loved watching reality TV and buying quality purses.

Honoring Kathleen’s wishes, there will be no viewing and any funeral services will be held at a later date.
