Kazemian was one of four animal-rights protesters convicted last year on charges of interfering with the 2005 bear hunt by encircling and harassing hunters on Dec. 7 in Wawayanda State Park in Vernon. Those convictions were affirmed this year in Superior Court in Newton and are now on appeal in the state Appellate Division.
