I write, both individually and in my capacity as Chairman of the New Jersey Libertarian Party’s Open Government Advocacy Project. I ask that you please consider, at the next City Council meeting, changing the form of resolution the Council passes before going into nonpublic (i.e. closed or executive) session. Attached are:
1. R211-2008 (August 4, 2008)
2. R221-2008 (August 21, 2008)
3. R228-2008 (September 2, 2008)
4. R078-2009 (March 2, 2009)
These four resolutions identically state that the public is being excluded so that the Mayor and Council can privately discuss \”personnel, contracts, litigation, negotiations and real estate.\”
