I went to my oldest daughter\’s for dinner with her and her husband to celebrate her birthday Thursday night. She lives south of Lake Hopatcong.

After I left, she went to the store, then pulled into the driveway at 9:45 p.m. She saw a huge bear that had tipped her garbage can on the side of the house and was carrying a bag of garbage into the backyard. She leaned on the horn, but bear was nonchalant, took the bag and was eating its contents beside her pool.

HOLLAND, Rose Marie (nee Mount), 83, of Brooklawn peacefully passed away on April 5, 2009. Little Falls, N.J. (4/9/09) – Freshman southpaw Ryan Zamorsky (Branchburg, N.J.) scattered seven hits in eight solid innings while Lee Cavico (North Brunswick, N.J.) (pictured left) belted a grand slam as #5/12 Kean scored in all but one inning in a 13-1 victory over Montclair State at Yogi Berra Stadium on Thursday afternoon.

Junior second baseman Mike Moceri (Yardville, N.J.) was 2-for-4 with a triple, homerun, three runs scored and two RBI as Kean (22-6, 7-2 NJAC) posted its fifth straight win and swept the season set from Montclair. The Cougars recorded a 5-4 win in Union on March 26.
