The show and tell topic of the next Monthly meeting of the Gloucester City Historical Society will be the Memorial Day Celebrations of the past. From 1901-1948 a Mr. Owens, a local resident, built the model ships pulled in our town’s Memorial Day parades. These ships were then launched into the Delaware River at what was then called the Camden County Park (Proprietor’s Park).
