Mayor William James and City Council recognized local businessman, Frank Anello Jr., for his many years of service in the city during last week’s meeting.
Mr. Anello has resided in Gloucester City his entire life, is married to Teresa, and has two daughters and several grandchildren.
The proclamation honored Frank Anello, Jr. for his many years that he operated as a barber in the family business that, since the early 1900s, was located on King Street and was known as Anello’s Barbershop.
Nephew Frank Anello owns and operates \”Gentleman’s Den\” on Market Street.
Mayor James said many family members were in the local Garden State String Band, and they had marched down Broad Street in Philadelphia and Broadway in Gloucester City.
Family and friends posed for pictures with the well-liked barber upon receiving the proclamation.
